Working with us

Otherwise known as our rules of engagement.

Our philosophy.

We know firsthand that working with the right peeps can make or break a project. We’ve been at this marketing consulting thing for a bit and we pretty much wear our hearts on our sleeves.

Above all else, we want to make sure we’re the right fit for one another.

Alas, we present you with our list of non-negotiables. And it’s OK if you have the same. Let’s be up front and honest and everything will be A-OK. If we aren’t the right fit, we’ll still look to help you find those who are.

We require 30 days payment up front.

The first month we’ll be doing everything we can to get to know you, your business, its pain points, and uncover hidden gems. We’ll be doing a ton of work up front and our payment terms are net 30. Imagine we start work January 1 - we bill February 1 and then we don’t get paid until March 1. It’s a bit much for a small company. We’re not pretending to be giant because we are intentionally small. So if this doesn’t work for you, no problem, but we probably aren’t the right fit.

No meanies allowed. Seriously.

We absolutely LOVE working with good humans. They’re the kind who made us want to leave our security blankets and create awesomeness together. We’re all about getting excited about projects, pouring our hearts into them and having fun along the way. No Debbie downers or Heathers, please.

Version 110 is 100 too many.

We get it, sometimes there are a lot of voices in the room and/or people to please. We ask that you trust us and don’t expect endless revisions for tiny modifications. It’s a massive waste of your budget and not really the best use of our time. We’d much rather focus on things that will matter and drive impact for your business. Micromanagement to us is a dirty word. We believe in testing messaging and iterating as you go along.

Your internal stakeholders want us to be there.

Change can sometimes be scary. But cross collaboration with your stakeholders is key. So pretty please (with cherries on top) don’t bring us in to argue with stakeholders on your behalf. We want to do awesome work, but your teams should know we’re being hired — hopefully be excited about it — and understand why.
